Ed Reckers

Ed Reckers is the founder of Red Bridge Internet, the San Francisco studio he has run since 2009. He leads the firm's applied-AI work today, pairing agentic development workflows with custom WordPress and Astro builds. He still does the hands-on engineering: headless CMS architecture, performance work, and the AI-augmented development the team is built around.

He's been building for the web since the early 2000s. Before Red Bridge, he worked on one of the early large-scale paid-search advertising platforms at Grant Media in San Francisco, building administrative and reporting tools, commerce and financial integrations, and front-end work on high-traffic networks, all LAMP stack and all in version control. Earlier still, he managed production and delivery of web projects for a larger engineering firm.

Fifteen years on, the through-line is the same: build things well, own them, and stay close to the people the work is for.
